The scheme was for the design (from concept stage) of a bridge from the College car park to the veranda of an academic building, to provide safe access for disabled students to the main campus building.
Tony Gee provided architectural and engineering services throughout the project from conception to construction. We work closely with the contractor to ensure an economic solution was obtained. Tony Gee also carried out site investigation works for foundation design, as well as site visits with the contractor to discuss possible solutions.
The bridge is a half-through truss bridge formed from steel hollow sections with welded connections. The 17 m main span extends from the College car park over an inclined access road.
