Open House at Blackfriars

Over 200 members of the public were given an opportunity to view Blackfriars Project from a vantage point on the River Thames last month, as part of the Open House London weekend.

Every September Open House London celebrates the capital’s building, places and neighbourhoods. Members of the public are invited to get up close and personal with London’s architectural landmark. Over 700 buildings of all kinds, across London take part in the free event.

To mark the event at Blackfriars, the project collaborated with the project’s marine suppliers – Livett’s Launchers – and hosted trips from Blackfriars Pier.

The group were accompanied by Balfour Beatty and Tony Gee engineers (Senior Engineer Tommy Szeto is pictured in the centre), who provided expert advice on the current project status, key milestones achieved and future projections.
