The Dawlish Project Team received a Special Award at Network Rail’s Partnership Awards 2014. The accolade was to recognise the 300 engineers that have been working tirelessly to rebuild the railway after the damage caused by the storms in February 2014. On the night a special mention was given to members of our team who had been on site.
Awards for Loughor Viaduct Replacement
Loughor Viaduct Replacement was awarded the George Gibby Award for the best outstanding design and construction of a project over £3m at the ICE Wales Awards Dinner 2014. Tony Gee was appointed to undertake the permanent and temporary works design of the replacement structure for clients Carillion and Network Rail.
The scheme also received a Commendation at the British Construction Steelwork Association Awards 2014, the Judges’ labelled the scheme “A heroic and successful achievement.”
