The award ceremony was held at the Grand Brighton Hotel, where the team of Tony Gee, Network Rail and Costain were announced as the winners.
Tony Gee was the designer for the emergency remedial works to repair the Dover to Folkestone railway line after cracking appeared. Our design incorporated the latest BIM technology to construct a Design for Manufacture and Assembly process (DFMA) which was essential in saving time designing the structure works. Other works included a fibre reinforced polymer footbridge.
Dover Sea Wall was also highly commended for the Brassey Award, which honours Engineering Excellence for the Kent and Sussex area.
