The Doha Link comprises the design of a major road link across Sulaibikhat Bay between Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait City and the Doha Peninsula, including the tie-in infrastructure at the landfall on the Doha Peninsula. The total length including the interchange sections is 13km, with 7.7km of this on marine viaduct.

The project was successfully delivered on time and was opened at an official ceremony by the Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART).

Speaking at the opening, PART Acting Director Suha Ashkanani said that the project comes in accordance with international standards and aims to ease traffic congestion in the surrounding areas.
