Hung Hom Bypass provides a major development of the road systems to the north-east of the original cross-harbour tunnel in Kowloon Bay. This is the precursor to the redevelopment of Kai Tak Airport once Chep Lak Kok Airport is in service. The project includes the construction of 26 viaducts of up to 12 spans in prestress balanced cantilever segmental form.

Tony Gee carried out the Independent Design Check of the permanent works including a full analysis of the construction stages.
