Phu My Bridge is a major fixed link crossing over the river Sai Gon in Ho Chi Minh City, which connects the city with the Mekong Delta and Vietnam’s south-eastern provinces. The structure comprises an all-concrete cable stayed bridge flanked on either side by approach viaducts. The main cable stayed bridge is a 705 m long structure with a signature span of 380 m, supported by two 140 m high pylons.

Tony Gee was responsible for the independent design check at both conceptual and final design stage, including numerical analysis of the key elements of the approach viaduct and the main span stayed bridge structure, together with all foundation and abutment structures.
