Sheik Jaber Al Ahmad A Sabah Causeway (Doha Link)
The Sheik Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Causeway Project (Doha Link) comprises the design of a major road link across Sulaibikhat Bay between Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait City and the Doha Peninsula, including the tie-in infrastructure at the landfall on the Doha Peninsula. The total length including the interchange sections is 13 km, with 7.7km of this on marine viaduct.
Tony Gee was the lead designer in this Design and Build scheme and is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the design. The works include all structural, highway, marine, M&E and landscaping works. The project itself involves many different groups of Tony Gee and with a number of different firms worldwide so collaboration between all of the parties involved has been essential to the project’s success. Our global position and our reputation have given us this opportunity to take on this role normally undertaken by much larger firms.
Our technical expertise has been a great draw for the contractor and has been key to resolving complex technical issues to the client’s satisfaction project wide.
