Haeco Hangar
Hong Kong
The new third hangar at Hong Kong International Airport can simultaneously accommodate two wide-bodies aircraft and one nose-in aircraft to provide a total of three Boeing 747 sized aircraft maintenance positions. Tony Gee carried out an independent design check for the erection method of the roof (as a single lift) and associated temporary works.
Tony Gee designed an alternative lifting scheme, which enabled the roof trusses to be lifted in three groups. We also completed the design work and the checks for the new erection scheme.
