Improving Accessibility for Rail Passengers Across Greater Manchester

Tony Gee, working in partnership with Kier Infrastructure, will deliver accessibility improvements across three railway stations for Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). These enhancements will help improve access for passengers and support the development of a more inclusive transport network across the region.

Tony Gee’s work will involve options selection, concept and preliminary designs for Bredbury, Davenport and Woodsmoor stations, working with partners to agree on the best-value solutions to deliver the upgrades which will allow for greater accessibility at each station.

Simon Elliott, network director rail at TfGM, said: “Delivering accessibility improvements at these six stations is absolutely key to our ambitions as we continue to build a public transport network that works for everyone in Greater Manchester.

“We’ll be working closely with Kier and our partners in the rail industry to help ensure that these upgrades remove barriers to travel and create a welcoming, attractive and customer-friendly experience at all these stations.”
